Within Shwe Da Gon there are a number of different places, offering their own specific atmosphere.

Many places where people pray, individually or in groups; where monks, nuns, laywomen and laymen meditate; as well as open pavilions where families gather, share a meal and spend a friendly moment together. Some pavilions shelter large statues of Budha, or Budha's footprint, and it is common to observe and feel in such places, an atmosphere of quietness and peace.
